Race-track roots Integrated into the design of the new Tissot T-Race MotoGP are various bike-inspired
details. Small elements resembling the brake discs of a high-performance motorbike enhance the bezel with the 18 championship circuits. The carbon composite featured on the case is the result of meticulous high-tech production competence and also alludes to the use of this material in the engineering of high-performance bikes. The carbon’s squared pattern of the dialâ’s black background announces the chequered flag, a fitting background for the bright yellow second and chronograph hands that skim around it, relentlessly committed to precision.
Always on track Tissot has been the Official Timekeeper of the MotoGP since 2001, and the largest traditional Swiss watch producer and the world’s premier motorcycling championship have a lot of common ground. This limited edition of 8,002 numbered pieces celebrates their shared dedication to high-performance in style. The official MotoGP logo is engraved on the case back. The latter can be exchanged with one of the 18 medallions presented in the helmet case, using the special tool provided, with water resistance assured. Each of these is engraved with one of the circuits hosting a 2008 championship race, embracing a total of 15 countries. The logo also takes pride of place on the folding buckle that secures the textured rubber strap in preparation for a season of exhilarating cornering speeds.
